Cindy and Cam met at a bar. It still happens.

Sadly due to the current travel ban Cindy’s family was unable to make it to Australia, but her parents were a constant presence nonetheless through the wonders of technology, a smart phone, and a close friend who kept them on videocall for much of the day, giving them a real time viewing from the comfort of their loungeroom, and enabling them to still take part.

Both of them handled this, and other minor setbacks on the day with such poise and grace and positivity that I have no doubt they’ll be able to handle whatever life throws their way.

A few moments to look out for;

  • A lot of technology enabled attendance - specifically the look of joy on Cindy’s face as she chats to her parents during the reception at the Ovolo Hotel, and the tea ceremony serving at the start of the day

  • A big lift

  • Post ceremony gelato, and the least stoked I’ve ever seen kids look after being given free ice cream

  • Cindy getting overwhelmed during Cam’s vows, and speech

  • Cam-squats
