vicky and eddie

q station wedding

Vicky and Eddie are a couple of old souls, seemingly wise and introspective far beyond their years. There was a moment during the portraits where I asked each of them to take a moment to think of and share one really specific thing about the other that they really loved. A couple of minutes of silent contemplation passed, each of them clearly lost in their thoughts, when some silent tears started running down Eddie’s cheeks, before they quietly shared whatever it was they had thought of.

Family - and by extension, community - is clearly incredibly important to each of them. They changed into traditional Korean dress during the reception before giving speeches specifically to each of their parents where they both clearly incredibly articulately gave thanks for all they had done to shape and nurture them.

They were wed at the beautiful Balmain Town Hall - only of the few places big enough to house the 250 plus strong crowd gathered to watch them join together, and the evening continued at the iconic Q Station in Manly.

Some moments to look out for;

  • Vicky getting somewhat overwhelmed during a song after their vows

  • Followed by her and Eddie dancing their way back down the aisle

  • An impromptu sing-along with the bridal party at Q Station

  • A traditional costume change followed by some emotional speeches

  • A few people being carried, some more successfully than others

Enjoy
