Rochelle and Anthony both work in design, and it showed. From the styling, to the outfits (3 in total for the two of them), to the choice of venue (Lion’s Gate Lodge), everything was impeccable but relaxed. The two of them both got ready at their house in Stanmore with Rochelle’s whole family and some of Anthony’s closest friends in attendance.

The ceremony and reception took place the stupidly beautiful Lion’s Gate Lodge in the Royal Botanic Gardens. Special mention to Jen and Em from The Wild Side who styled the hell out of the place and made sure everything ran seamlessly, evening running to grab more beers when stocks were getting low.

The afternoon evolved into a beautiful low-key garden party, with a late afternoon, mostly barefoot dance floor in the evening sun and kids racing each other across the lawn, before one of Rochelle’s guests surprised them both with an appearance by one of the founding members of Aussie rock band Ganggajang who played an acoustic version of This is Australia, one of Rochelle’s favourite songs. In the midst of a heritage colonial cottage, surrounded by Australian natives and with many of the guests drinking VB’s in the warm, post-sunset Sydney heat, it was a picture of modern Australiana.
